Who we are

At Alumni, we believe a job well done should leave people feeling confident, cared for, and excited about their project.

We’ve been serving the Lower Mainland since 1987. While the types of projects have expanded over the years, what hasn’t changed is how we show up: on time, on top of things, and fully focused on the people we’re working for.

Alumni was established by Maurice Hulscher and Beau Henderson, whose leadership set the foundation for everything we do. Together, they built the trusted reputation Alumni enjoys today, and their influence continues to guide us.

After years of hands-on experience in the field, Elijah Hartwig and George Barr stepped into ownership with a shared goal: to protect what made Alumni trusted in the first place – and to keep building on it. Today, the company is led by Maurice, Beau, Elijah, and George who work together to ensure that the founding values remain at the core of everything we do.

    Every project begins with an on-site walkthrough to understand your goals, confirm the details, and make sure expectations are aligned.
  2. We plan the project around your space
    Whether we’re working in a home, a high-rise, or a common area, we map out access, timing, and logistics to keep things smooth and low-impact.
  3. We prepare with precision
    Surface prep is where quality begins. We clean, sand, patch, and prime to ensure coatings go on right – and stay that way.
  4. We paint with care and consistency
    We use high-quality products and proven techniques, applied by a dedicated crew that takes pride in doing things properly.
  5. We keep you in the loop
    Communication stays clear and proactive throughout. You’ll always know what’s happening, who’s onsite, and where things stand.
  6. We wrap with a final walkthrough
    When the work is done, we walk it with you to make sure everything meets our standards – and yours. Only then is a project considered finished.
